Jewellery and Sewing Club
During the Autumn term Mrs. Bannister holds an after school jewellery and sewing club on Thursday evenings which is open to Key Stage 2 children.
The children enjoy a variety of sewing activities. In the past they have made such things as bags, cushion covers and pencil cases either for themselves or as gifts. They are taught how to make patterns, hand sew and with supervision to use a sewing machine.
They also enjoy learning how to make some simple jewellery projects which many of them make as Christmas gifts for their family and friends. We have even been known to make some jewellery products to sell at the school Christmas fayre. All the children who attend the club really enjoy having a finished product to take home that they can give as a gift and be proud of. Come along and find out what we do and maybe you will find a hidden talent you didn’t even know you had!
